I was so honored to ride in the 47th Annual African American Heritage Day Parade in Newark, New Jersey today as Mrs. Lady Pageant Gal US, although I wore my New Jersey delegate sash to represent New Jersey. Someone asked me what was my favorite part of the parade and it was definitely watching the children both in the parade or not. The drill teams in the parade had so much confidence and pride that I could take some lessons from those young ladies; and the little girls watching from the sidelines would be in shock for a second when I pointed at them and waved. I waved especially hard, if they were wearing a tiara! Bonus points for that little ladies! Below are some of my favorite photos from the parade.
